DC12V addressable WS2815 LED

WS2815 LED is DC12v dual signal,signal break-point continuous transmission.


General description
WS2815 is an intelligent control LED light source that the control circuit and RGB chip are integrated in a package of 5050 components. Its internal includes intelligent digital port data latch and signal reshaping amplification drive circuit.
Dual-signal wires version, signal break-point continuous transmission. Any pixel’s failure won't affect signal transfer and total emitting effect.
The data transfer protocol use single NZR communication mode. After the pixel power-on reset, the DIN port receive data from controller, the first pixel collect initial 24bit data then sent to the internal data latch, the other data which reshaping by the internal signal reshaping amplification circuit sent to the next cascade pixel through the DO port. After transmission for each pixel, the signal to reduce 24bit. Every pixel adopts auto-reshaping transmit technology, making the pixel cascade numbers are not limited to the signal transmission, only relate to the speed of signal transmission.
The BIN receives the data signal, and then compare the data with the DIN side after phagocytosis of 24bit data, if DIN do NOT receive the signal, then switching to BIN for receiving the input signal, which ensure that any the IC's damage does not affect the signal cascade transmission and make the BIN in state of receiving signal until restart after power-off.
Refresh Frequency updates to 2KHz, Low Frame Frequency and no Flicker appear in HD Video Camera.
RESET time>280μs, it won’t cause wrong reset while interruption, it supports the lower frequency and inexpensive MCU.
Integrated circuit chips enable the circuit control simpler, neater and more reliable while NO extra components needed.

Features and Benefits
The control circuit and RGB chip are integrated in a 5050 components, to form an external control pixel.
12V DC power supply, can effectively reduce the operating current of the pixel LED, and decrease the voltage-drop of the PCB, this is to advance the consistency of the mixed lights for long-distance transmission.

Dual Signal SK6813 LED Come out

Everyone knows WS2813 LED is  dual signal,signal break-point continuous transmission,now SK6813 LED comes out,it's the same as WS2813 LED,belongs to signal break-point continuous transmission.

Product Overview :
SK6813 is a smart LED control circuit and light emitting circuit in one controlled LED source, which has the shape of a 5050 LED chip. Each lighting element is a pixel, and the intensities of the pixels are contained within the intelligent digital interface input. The output is driven by patented PWM technology, which effectively guarantees high consistency of the color of the pixels. The control circuit consists of a signal shaping amplification circuit, a built-in constant current circuit, and a high precision RC oscillator.
The data is transmitted using the dual signal input-signal output transmission method. The built-in signal regeneration circuit makes the cascaded signal drive capability enhanced. The data output by the controller is transmitted to the DIN of the first lamp bead and the second lamp bead respectively. BIN, the DOUT data of the first lamp beads are transmitted to the DIN of the second lamp beads and the BIN of the third lamp beads, respectively;
The LED has a low driving voltage (which allows for environmental protection and energy saving), high brightness, scattering angle, good consistency, low power, and long life. The control circuit is integrated in the LED above.

The difference of GS8208 with SK6812,SK9822,WS2813 LED

GS8208 LED is a new type led, It used the latest design and technology. Compared with the previous led, such as the SK6812SK9822, and WS2813 led, it has a great advantage.

Let's learn more about these leds. In fact, GS8208 has many similarities with these leds. We know that this kind of built-in led is generally used in SMD 5050 package, and the GS8208 has the same features as the SK6812, WS2812B WS2813. The protocol, single-channel 8bits data, each IC supports 3 channels, generally if a controller can control one, it can control other types. Transmission speed is 800KH, the same can be synthesized = 16777216 colors, grayscale is 256 levels. At the same time, the GS8208 is a breakpoint continuous transmission. This function is the same as the WS2813 and the SK6822, which greatly solves the damage of some leds and affects the operation of the entire project. This technology is further advanced than SK6812, WS2812B, and SK9822 led. SK6812,WS2812B WS2813,SK9822 GS8208 data transmit is in order of GRB, all of then Mls level is 6. So before you welding those chip , you must do dehumidification.

Now let's talk about the differences between the GS8208 and the SK6812, WS2813, and WS2812B SK9822 led.

First of all, the major difference is that GS8208 is DC12V, SK6812, WS2813, WS2812B,SK9822 are DC5V, GS8208 high voltage, which greatly solves the voltage drop problem, GS8208 uses the latest technology, currently other DC12V leds on the market, quality is unstable, bad heat dissipation.

It is RGB series structure.Power supply voltage is 12V,and the LED constant current is 18Ma.Different to the parallel architecture of 5V power supply and 54mA drive current,the series architecture can provide a better drive ability.The new architecture’s total drive current is only 1/3 of the original one,and Vds=4V.The power loading ability is better.In the series structure mode,when the internal MOS paralleling with the LED is open,the current flow into the LED and the LED lights.When the internal MOS paralleling with the LED is short,the current flow into the MOS device and the LED close.Switching the MOS device by PWM signal can lights on or off the LED.

Because of using this technology,both sides colors are the same when light white color,power supply one side,60led/m,5m/reel. But it’s not the same color about SK6812, WS2813, SK6822, and SK9822.

At the same time the GS8208 has only one DATA input and output, unlike the SK9822, APA102, SK9822 APA102 also have a Clock signal, GS8208 Built-in PWM technology, supports 8kHz PWM refresh rate, and SK9822 seems only 4.7KHZ, APA102 is 19.2, WS2812B, WS2813 , SK6812 only 2KHZ.

Through above we can know, GS8208 compared with previous built-in led, there is a great progress, the pressure drop is smaller, breakpoints continued transmission, to ensure the stability of the project. let's know about deeply parameters of the GS8208.

SK6812,SK6822,SK9822,WS2813 and so on SMD Products Using Guide

There are many customers don't know how to use SMD LED correctly(like SK6812,SK6822,SK9822,WS2813 and so on).Now i introduce it.



Surface mount devices (SMDs) usually belong to the moisture sensitive components, moisture from the atmosphere by diffusion penetration into packaging materials. When the SMD components welded on the circuit board is it through the process of temperature is 150 ℃ ~ 245℃ of reflow soldering, under high temperature condition, the rapid expansion of infiltration of moisture to produce enough steam pressure damage or destroy the LED components, thus appeared within the material plastic crack, delamination or gold wire damage such as reliability failure problem.

This series of LED products use coating has moisture-proof anti-static aluminum foil bag,handling should be avoided in the process of extrusion, packing bags of pierced happens, at the same time to prepare the necessary electrostatic protective measures. Above line homework before LED packaging already exists leakage or damaged, please stop using directly, the performance test of photoelectric packaging products with high-temperature dehumidification action again after use.

delivery, installation, attention should be paid to prevent external force directly or indirectly ACTS on the LED lamp body, which could lead to the external force damage LED, die modulation phenomenon occurs, therefore, need to be semi-finished products, finished product handling the work of the external force protection way.

proof bag before assembly (except for incoming sampling), such as inevitable, with desiccant components must be immediately sealed packaging, and save the moistureproof ark (< 30 ℃ /60% RH).

Such as feed, moisture-proof anti-static aluminum foil bag unpacking, have been found damaged, perforation can be promptly returned to the original factory for high-temperature dehumidification actions; If a roll of SMDs material in the packaging once opened, not a one-time use up and workshop temperature and humidity in the qualification (< 30 ℃ / 60% RH), the remainder can be saved under the following conditions:
(1) 70 ℃, 24 h after baking dehumidification vacuum sealed packaging.
(2) if the product fail to be strictly sealed container, please contact the original supplier, returned to the exchange or high-temperature dehumidification;

SMD and PCB assembly does not need again after reflow soldering or after high
temperature process, will not make special processing requirements. If need to go through after SMT reflow soldering or any other high temperature process (including rework), due to the solder paste contains a large number of moisture, note before reflow soldering action is required to ensure that the LED products are exposed to the air time control within 2 hours.

The difference of SK6812,sk6812 mini, sk6822,ws2812, WS2812b, ws2813 LED,which led strip is better?

There are many kinds of ic built-in led ,like ws2812,ws2812b,ink1003,apa102 and so on, now it comes out sk6812 ,sk6822,sk6812 mini and ws2813 led.

Let’s talk about their difference.

WS2812B is an upgraded version of WS2812. They are an integrating control circuit and the intelligent external control LED source of the light-emitting circuit, package WS2811 into 5050LED SMD. The features and benefits between WS2812 and WS2812B is the WS2812B has intelligent reverse connect protection and the power supply reverse connection does not damage the IC.

Now a new version have come out , it is ws2813,WS2813 led have 2 data signal,any pixel’s failure won’t affect signal transfer unless two consecutive adjacent LED are Broken.

SK6812 has RGB,RGBW,WWA,SK6812 rgb is similar with ws2812b led,the main difference between the two drivers is that the SK6812 has voltage-independent color and brightness over a wide voltage range, which means that the colors of the LEDs should not be affected by a drop in the supply voltage as much as they are on the WS2812B.In addition , in our test , SK6812 LED quality is much better , when the temperature is high,ws2812b is much easy to be dead than SK6812.

SK6812 mini 3535 is mini version sk6812 led,it’s 3.5mm*3.5mm,except the size difference,others exactly the same with sk6812 led.

Sk6822 is a new technology--breakpoint transmission, this feature ensures that the rest of the LEDs in a strip still work even if one or more pixels develop a bad IC,the SK6822 LED only have IC inside the 5050, but WS2813 LED have IC and resistors, capacitors Inside the 5050 LED.That is to say, there will no need to use any resistor for WS2813 LED Strips .but for SK6822 RGB LED Strips , the resistor and capacitor are both needed.
